Record a video with my mobile device

To capture a video with your mobile device or phone:

On both Apple and Android Devices:

1. Open a web browser and navigate to canvas.udayton.edu. Alternatively, open the Canvas App.
2. Go into your Canvas course site.
3. Click on the Warpwire tool in the course tool menu.
4. Click on the + button.
5. Select Capture from camera from the drop down menu. Note: Some devices may be incompatible with the app, and you will have to record using a browser on your device.

On an Android Device:

1. You may need to click on Allow to give Adobe Flash access to your device.
2. Make sure that the correct camera and microphone are selected.
3. Click on the video camera (Record) button to start the recording.
4. Click on the red square (Stop) button to stop the recording.

On an Apple Device:

1. Click on the Take Photo or Video button.
2. Select Video.
3. Click on the red circle to start the recording.
4. Click on the red square to stop the recording.
5. Select Use Video to upload the recording.

On both Apple and Android Devices:

1. If you wish, you can change the title of the recording. Click on the Save Recording button.
2. You'll see a green progress bar at the bottom of your screen while the video is uploading.
3. Your video will be queued while it is uploading. It will appear in grey while it is in the queue.
4. Once it's finished uploading, your video will appear in course's media library.
