Add a Thread

After a Threaded Discussion instance is installed by the instructor, threads (or messages) can be added to start the conversation. Threads may be added by instructors or students.

Adding a Thread

To add a thread:

1. Navigate to the Threaded Discussion link in your Canvas site.
2. Click on +Add Thread.
3. Enter a title for your message.
4. Enter a Description (or body) of your message.
5. Click on +Thread.

Editing a Thread

To edit a thread:

1. Navigate to the Threaded Discussion link in your Canvas site.
2. Locate the thread you wish to edit and click on the pencil (edit) icon next to it.
3. Make the desired changes.
4. Click on Update.

Deleting a Thread

To delete a thread:

1. Navigate to the Threaded Discussion link in your Canvas site.
2. Locate the thread you wish to delete and click on the trash can (delete) icon next to it.
3. Click on Delete to verify deletion.
