Add/Edit/Delete an Interactive Video

Create an interactive video

To create an interactive video:

  1. Click on the Interactive Video app wherever you have added it.
  2. Provide a title for your video in the Video Title field.

  3. Select the Warpwire Video tab if you'd like to use a Warpwire video. Select the YouTube tab if you'd like to use a YouTube video.

    • If you are are using a Warpwire video, you can click on the Launch Video Picker button to select the video from your Warpwire media library. This button will open a popup window with a list of all your Warpwire media libraries. Click on the library that contains the video you'd like to add, then click on the circle next to the video and press the Insert __ item(s) button at the bottom.
    • We highly recommend setting the Warpwire video to be shared as public so that students don't have to authenticate in order to see the video. For help with this step, please see our instructions on how to share a Warpwire video.
    • If you are using a YouTube video, you'll want to copy the URL from your browser's address bar instead of the URL copied from the Share link.

  4. Add the web address of the video in the Video URL field and click on Create.

  5. You will be taken to the Build page.
  6. Click on the Add Question button to get started. You can select from different question types, including multiple choice, short answer, info card, and multiple choice survey.
  7. In the Video Time boxes, enter the number of hours, minutes, and seconds in the video where you would like the question to pop up.

  8. Depending on which question type you're adding, complete the question form that may include question text, possible answers, and card text.

    • In multiple choice question types, clicking the checkmark icon next to answer choices indicates that those are correct. Please note that students must choose all of the correct answer choices in order to have the question marked as correct. Additionally, you can randomize the answers by selecting the checkbox next to Randomize Answers.

  9. Click on the Add Feedback section if you'd like to provide feedback for students to see after they respond to the questions.

  10. Click Save to save the question. Click Cancel to cancel your changes.
  11. Continue adding questions until you are finished.

Editing an interactive video

To edit an interactive video:

  1. Navigate to the interactive video you would like to edit.
  2. To edit the video title, click on the pencil icon in the top right hand corner of the Build page.
  3. To edit the individual questions, click on the question, then select the Edit Question option.
  4. Make the required edits, then press Save.

Deleting an interactive video

To delete an interactive video:

  1. Navigate to the interactive video you would like to delete.
  2. Click on the trash can icon in the top right hand corner.
  3. You will see a confirmation message warning you that you will be deleting the question, students' responses, and all associated questions. This cannot be undone.
  4. Click OK to delete the video. Click Cancel to cancel the deletion.
  5. You will be taken to the page where you can add a new video web address to create a new interactive video.
