Add/Edit/Delete a Flashcard Set

Adding the Flashcards app

Creating a flashcard set

To add a new flashcard set:

  1. Click on the Flashcards app wherever you have added it.
  2. Click on the Create Card Set button.
  3. Enter a title for the card set.
  4. Click the Add Card Set button.
  5. The new card set will be created, and you will be taken to the page where you can begin adding flashcards.

Editing a flashcard set

To edit a flashcard set:

  1. Click on the Flashcards app wherever you have added it.
  2. Locate the card set you would like to edit. Click on the Settings gear icon in the Options area for that card set.
  3. You may edit the card set's title and published/unpublished status on the Settings page.
  4. Click on Update Flashcard Set to save your changes. Click Cancel to discard your changes.

Deleting a flashcard set

To delete a flashcard set:

  1. Click on the Flashcards app wherever you have added it.
  2. Locate the card set you would like to delete. Click on the Settings gear icon in the Options area for that card set.
  3. Click on Delete to delete the card set. Press OK to permanently delete the set. Press Cancel to keep the card set. Please note that card sets cannot be recovered once they are deleted.
  4. If you would like to delete the entire item from your Canvas course:
    • In a module, locate the module, click on the kabob (3 dots) in line with your flashcards, and click Delete.
    • In a page, go to the page, click Edit, and delete the link in the content editor. Click Save afterwards.
